Jarrah shelf with bent-strip frame

A four-tier jarrah shelf carried by strips bent into a gentle bow — all joinery, no screws or nails.

Finished four-tier jarrah shelf unit, sanded and oiled

How it was made

The frame is carried by jarrah strips bent to a gentle bow. There's not a screw or nail in it — every joint is cut to fit and glued, and the four shelves lock into the strips to hold the whole frame square.

It was dry-assembled in the workshop, sanded back, then oiled — the curves do the holding and give the piece its shape at the same time.
