I'm Jono. I make built-ins and furniture for awkward spaces.
JML Joinery & Cabinetry is me — a joiner and cabinet maker based in Kewdale, working across Perth. I've been doing this for six years. I qualified in site carpentry first, then moved into joinery and cabinet making.
That mix matters on the jobs I like most. I'm as comfortable framing up a platform or partition as I am fitting the finished joinery on top of it.
What I specialise in
Bespoke built-ins, custom cabinetry and one-off furniture — big and small.
Difficult spaces
Curved walls, under-stair gaps, alcoves and walls that aren't square. Problem solving is the part of the job I enjoy most. See how I approach awkward spaces.
Craftsmanship
I work in MDF, ply, pine, jarrah and oak — the material is chosen to suit the piece, the room and the finish you're after. Where it suits the piece I use traditional joinery — cut joints and glue.
